I Just Could Not Stop Painting

Sweet Delight

“My mind starts running in the night, and with my brush in hand I begin to take flight!”

When I started priming this plywood board I knew it would be great. I felt it in my bones. I finished this painting in one sitting. I became so involved with the energy of this piece that I couldn’t sleep I just kept going. All the while I repeatedly played Neil Young’s score from the movie Dead Man. With the mood set I took off on my journey. Then suddenly I was overwhelmed with satisfaction. It was done and I loved it. Now I have sold it and all it is now is a memory. At least it’s a good memory.

Bird Sketch

I have been trying to teach myself how to draw again. I think it’s starting to show.

Hot In The Middle!

I have been trying to balance a crazy work schedule and time in the studio. Squeezing all that I can out the evening and weekends painting and studying.  I can truly say that for me life seems like a constant work in progress. Just like this painting.
